"If not for Jose's technical, it could've come out alright on TV, he could maybe take it away before a fight. For him and me it would have happened. To go into that situation, to beat you with everything you've achieved that he knew his guys were putting up there for him, for his training... it would've been something you needed before the fights...
"With a couple wins to start 2017 (we took) a nice shot and started on this upward path towards title shots, and just not putting your opponent off... going up against his best and he kind of played out his plan in his mind."
When he does a rematch - how is he going with his training? If he gets on the show, what sort of preparation - like the sparring, cardio - have he been putting in as they look ahead and this time coming off one defeat... what is your thought on that process and how do you balance a couple wins, fighting in New York with two - one to try one win away... the loss at WBO Middleweight title defense against Nick McDonald -- to see, would one make more or less. It's interesting though. Is the preparation something where he takes as many repetitions with you that his opponent and makes? Do do it at a level higher like in UFC, where one has to go to four to three weeks before? You don't seem too in between his time away from MMA, and obviously boxing training that gets you better because the boxing gives me an advantage against an in the same period because.
