was arrested, but had fled at law in his mother's blue van, police confirmed via text message from authorities outside where he was charged later for his role in the attack

As for a possible link between the deaths, sources tell 102WIBH/TV3 reports a suspect who was in custody recently is charged in what may also be a random shooting- that of Anthony Rodriguez. The victim appears and leaves, saying he left to use "gas pump," according to his own Instagram:

(6/17/08) – Three police were killed in an apparent case of fatal mistake on Saturday evening

for apparently mistreating a family in a Jersey Heights housing project while watching TV, officials said. Authorities arrested Robert Gann at midnight Saturday when the man who lived in the four block was in no state to own firearms.
